Your Financial Support Changes Lives

Giving to Stop Foodborne Illness enables us be the voice of people affected by foodborne illness, and collaborate with partners in academia, the food industry, and government to prevent foodborne illness.  We advocate for effective food safety policy and facilitate culture change to increase food safety. This is our mission.

Your generosity and trust are an investment in the work of STOP, and we are encouraged to keep working hard using your resources wisely and in a timely manner.

Ways to Give

Memorial
Donations

Memorial donations are a meaningful way to celebrate the legacy of a colleague, relative, or friend who has passed away.

If you would like us to send an acknowledgement to their family: Please include the name of the person you are remembering, their family’s address (if known) and a brief message.

To make a donation in memory of someone, click the blue link below.

Planned
Giving

Planned giving enables charitable donors to make larger gifts than they could from their income.

You can leave a legacy to safe food and assistance to those impacted by foodborne illness by including Stop Foodborne Illness in your estate plans.

We recommend that you consult your attorney or financial planner when considering a planned gift.

Contact Kelly Lombardo for more information.

Corporate Partnerships

Large and small companies have given generously of their time, funds, and resources to further our mission.

Many companies offer a dollar-for-dollar matching gift program for their employees’ charitable donations. Some companies will even double or triple the original contribution.

To find out how you can get your company involved through employee giving, contact your HR Department.

Tribute
Gifts

Making a gift is a great way to laud someone special, mark a milestone or acknowledge an accomplishment.

Tribute donations can be used for occasions such as anniversaries and other special days, graduations or just to say “I am thinking of you.”

STOP will send a response acknowledging the individual or family in whose name the donation has been made.

Host
an Event

Our constituents have done everything from holding a “Brewski Ball” to remembering a loved one with a “5 Kay: Walk + Run”

If you would like to host a walk/run, partner with a local restaurant for a dinner,  design and sell T-shirts, hold a bake sale or garage sale, a golf event or … the sky’s the limit — to support Stop Foodborne Illness, please get in touch.

We have swag and ideas to share!
